It comes as no surprise that Roblox is now the biggest multiplayer online video game in the world. Its unique concept of allowing users to not only play games but also create them has gained the interest of more than 100 million users, and that success keeps on growing every day.
But while Roblox has already been available in Windows, iOS, macOS, Xbox One and Android, a lot of fans are still clamoring for it to be available in PS4. The question is: will that be a reality this year?
The answer may be a no.
Since Roblox was released in 2006, there have been a lot of rumors that it was going to be made available on PS4. This year, the rumor is circulating again. Unfortunately, the insiders don’t think that will happen and they have a strong argument.
For one, Roblox has an exclusive deal with Xbox One, which means that it will be loyal to the platform for some time. Others also think that PS4 simply doesn’t want the game on its arsenal maybe because of the affiliation to Xbox One, which is considered a bad port.
There is hope for the future.
Although Roblox hasn’t released any statements on the availability of the game on PS4 this year, fans still see some hope of it coming true, thanks to Jack Hendrix’ statement in 2016 when he said: “Soon, but it’s in production. It’s been confirmed, we are working on it for the PS4, but I don’t have a release date for you guys.”
There are no free downloads of Roblox for PS4 online.
Another rumor that’s been circulating is that a Roblox for PS4 free download will already be available online this year. Unfortunately, that’s not true either. Some PS4 users have tried to install Roblox on their console, but they only got a prompt saying: “Your current platform is not supported.” So if you’re still planning on doing the same, you may also get the same results because Roblox is still not available on PS4.
The waiting game continues.
Fans around the world are still hoping for the worldwide hit Roblox to finally be released on PS4, one of the most popular gaming platforms in the world. But that doesn’t stop fans from enjoying the game, especially favorites like Scuba Diving at Quill Lake, Natural Disaster Survival, Work at a Pizza Place and Theme Park Tycoon 2.
