Samsung Galaxy Note 4 May Not See Android O OS

Google is currently working on its newest in-house mobile operating system called Android O. If everything goes according to plan, Google will release it in August and continue its beta testing program. Still, many phones have yet to get the Android Nougat and the variants of it. Thus, many people wonder if their devices will even get or support the Android O software update.

Will The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 See The Update?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of those phones that could or could not get it. While Samsung has prepared itself for the launch of the Note 8, many Note 4 owners don’t want the latest model. The Note 4 was released some time back with the Android KitKat 4.4, which were then upgraded to Lollipop and Marshmallow. The current operating system is the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is old, and the operating system itself is old. However, devices older than it has seen the Nougat update, which begs to question why the Note 4 hasn’t just yet. It’s because the device was never given the go-ahead by the manufacturers for the Nougat support. Samsung isn’t making it the Note 4 its priority.

If you’re the proud (or not so proud) owner of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, chances are you’ll never see the Android 7.0 Nougat update. A miracle would be needed to get it – something that rarely interacts with technology.
