According to Blorge, Google launched the new version of Google Earth Pro, 7.3.1, which brings some significant upgrades as Google made some fixes, security updates, and performance improvements. Plus, 64-bit support has been added!
At the moment, Google Earth comes in three different variants, one of which is still addressing to only a few people:
- Google Earth Pro – Available on PCs running Windows, MacOS, or Linux, this version is the most complex one as it has lots of features and tools.
- Google Earth ‘regular’ – Available on mobiles and web, this version is light as it is not containing the features and the instruments of the Pro version.
- Google Earth VR – Available for a small segment of population due to the high costs of the VR devices that can run it which are, at the moment, accessible by only a few. The VR version of Google Earth can be ran with HTC Vive, Windows VR, and Rift.
Google Earth Pro 7.3.1 features
The Pro version permits its users to navigate wherever on the Earth while it offers a bunch of instruments for different measurements, traffic count and demographic data, information about places, buildings and so on, route indications, and the renown Street View which lets users to walk on the streets of the big cities of the world.
The new version, Google Earth Pro 7.3.1 comes with additional advanced business features that include:
- Advanced measurement tools
- Printing in high-resolution
- Importing of CSV and ESRI GIS files
- Creating and exporting media files (videos) in 1920×1080 resolution
