Rockstar has announced a while ago the soon release of Red Dead Redemption 2 and everyone rejoiced. Now it seems that there has been discovered RDR2 content in GTA Online. Rockstar confirmed a new crossover mission launching today.

GTA Online players are to receive an in-game email letting them know a clue meant to make them pursue a lost relic from the frontier. Some say it will imply a scavenger hunt taking players across San Andreas while they take pictures of several landmarks. This will unlock a new gun, for free: the Double Action Revolver.

This new weapon will make players eligible to participate in a Headshot Challenge during the Freemode. Those who cannot compete will get a 250,000$ in GTA Online and the Double Action Revolver will be unlocked for Red Dead Redemption 2 as well. It is unknown if the weapon will be used in the single-player or multi-player mode, o even in both.
Doomsday Heist
This new weapon comes after the launch of the Doomsday Heist update. This has been the biggest update for GTA Online and it brings plenty new vehicles, cosmetics and elements for the multiplayer mode.
Red Dead Redemption 2
While fans wondered when a new GTA game will be released, Rockstar announced their planes of releasing Red Dead Redemption 2. The game is due in Spring 2018, but no sooner than the 1st of April. These are the only things Rockstar declared so far and anything else is just plain rumor. Many want to know more details about the single player and the multiplayer modes.
It seems that Rockstar will be busy for a while.
