Launchers have become an important tool for Android users and there is a wide range of products to choose from. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages, but today we are going to talk about one of the best: Action Launcher.

Use Action Launcher to hide home screen elements

There are plenty of reasons why you might want to hide certain things on a home screen. You should know that if you want to do that Action Launcher comes with plenty of features.

  • Covers change folders into gesture shortcuts, allowing you to change the folder icon to the first app in the folder. Tapping on it will open the app, while swiping will open the folder.
  • The Quicks have Quickdrawer and Quickpage. Quickpage can be accessed with a swipe and it works like a hidden launcher page that allows you to hide certain apps and widgets. Quickdrawer allows you to navigate quickly to the app you want, and it also comes with letter shortcuts.
  • Shutters are similar to Covers, but they hide a widget inside an app shortcut. You can use Covers and Shutters together.

Adaptive icons

Action Launcher also comes with an exclusive AdaptivePack that allows you to use action icons, as well as adaptive folder icons. While adaptive icons for Android are already here it will take some time until they are refined, so Action Launcher is a great alternative.

Customise your phone

Action Launcher is also great for coming up with your own themes thanks to Quicktheme. There are plenty of customisable options and you can even choose a new image for your wallpaper that will also recolour your folders, Quickbar and Quickdrawer.

Quicktheme even allows you to choose some different colour tints for your themes and there are two defaults: Material Dark and Material Light.
