Every Android mobile device requires the Google Play Store to download and install apps. It would also help a lot if the Play Store gets updated because there are apps that would require it.

Sadly, there are outdated Android devices that are no longer supported by recent updates in the Play Store. Moreover, newer apps wouldn’t exist in the Play Store because it can’t be updated further due to restrictions in the device.

However, there is a solution this problem, which only requires you some patience and knowledge about Android. So, if you want to get newer apps to appear on the Play Store, make sure that it is updated to a certain version.

If you will be able to do this, you can install apps that weren’t there before. After updating the app, you can use it just like any other Android device user. But, before doing that, you need to download the Google Play Store APK and install it in your device. You need to find a trusted APK file repository where you can get the file you need.

Once you have downloaded the APK file from your computer, connect the device using a USB cable. One end should be inserted to the USB slot on the computer, while the other end should be inserted to the charging port of your Android device. Next, make sure that you have enabled connecting your smartphone as a storage media and not for charging only. Find the file you have downloaded and copy it to the memory card or external memory of your phone.

Before installing Google Play Store APK onto your device, set your device to allow installing files not acquired from the licensed repository. So, go to Settings -> Security -> Unknown Sources and toggle the switch to turn this feature on. Then, don’t forget to return the settings back to off to disable automatic installation of unwanted apps or malware.
