Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Android has some new updates for game players to enjoy. What kinds of updates can players see in the latest version? One thing they’ll notice is the Discovery Update, which comes with an array of new content and features that will keep Android players happy and be playing.

Marketplace

Minecraft players have an in-game store they can use to buy new content developed by the Minecraft designers. Some items for sale include in-game skins, texture packs, etc. These items were created to give players a better gaming experience.

The developers also created in-game currency dubbed Minecraft Coin that’s usable in the Marketplace. You can buy the in-game currency using the real-world money.

Other Items

Discovery Update ensures players can explore the game world, finding new content and items to enjoy. For example, there are new monsters, puzzles, and maps that you’ll learn of while you treasure hunt in the Woodlands Mansion. Minor Game Changes

Some minor changes were made in the Android’s Pocket Edition to give a better gaming experience. Some of these changes include:

  • World generation changes now permit pre-generated structure seeds to produce structures in other locations.
  • Sunrise and sunset occur in their respective places.
  • Maps have assigned numbers, which make them easy to recognize.
  • Empty Maps with Compasses is now called Locator Maps to avoid mixing up with Empty Maps without Compasses.
  • Updated color palette for wood and carpet blocks
  • Improvement to lead rope physics
  • Stained clay blocks have new name – terracotta

Like any update, the Discovery Update address bugs. For example, it includes a fix that lets Elytra fliers to shoot themselves with an arrow and bow or with poisons.

Minecraft Players Can Cross Play Minecraft Pocket Edition

Minecraft gamers can enjoy the game on their PC or any iOS device thanks to the App Store. Mojang AB, the developer of Minecraft, released a version for operating software programs 8.0 and later. They are compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Minecraft’s latest version 1.2.5 offers new streaming methods. Players can create an interactive button that lets others play along with you on Mixer. You can find Mixer for iOS devices in the App Store. Using a window, you can get into the streamer’s game worlds. You generate all kinds of things such as terrain, lightning, etc.

Mixer ensures the Minecraft session is interactive, allowing to tailor it to your needs. Viewers can change the atmospheric conditions or create enemies and objects. You can also change day into night and night into day.

iOS Minecraft is a cross-platform multiplayer, allowing users to play with friends who are on other gaming consoles. For example, the recent Nintendo and Microsoft gaming consoles are compatible with the game. This also goes for Windows 10. As for now, Sony is not included in this list.
