The trial of a 17-year-old Danish girl suspected of planning bomb attacks against two schools has begun on Wednesday, April 19, near the Danish capital, Copenhagen.

The girl, whose name is not disclosed, was arrested by the police in January last year and has been held in custody since her arrest. According to the prosecutors she has allegedly planned two bomb attacks and the targets were her previous school west of Copenhagen and a Jewish school in the capital.

Defence lawyer Michael Juul Eriksen confirmed his clienthad been in Syriatwice.

A 25-year-old man who has been detained under suspicions of being an accomplice was released and all charges against him were dropped. His identity was not revealed.

The trial is held at the Holbaek District Court and is scheduled to last until May 5. No further details were immediately available.
