The Great Indian Murder takes a murder investigation throughout the country on an exciting journey that culminates in an explosive conclusion. It’s taken from Vikas Swarup’s gripping novel Six Suspects, which centres on the murder of Vicky Rai, the son of Chhattisgarh Home Minister Jagannath Rai. Richa Chadha’s DCP Sudha Bharadwaj and Pratik Gandhi’s Suraj Yadav, a Central Bureau of Investigation official, are entrusted with solving the mystery surrounding the murder.

‘The Great Indian Murder’ will be Tigmanshu Dhulia’s third Hotstar Specials directorial. Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vijay Maurya, and Puneet Sharma collaborated on the screenplay.

“While working on ‘The Great Indian Murder,’ I was transported back to my love for thrillers and murder mysteries,” Tigmanshu Dhulia said of his experience directing the series. Six Suspects by Vikas Swarup has long been one of my favourite thrillers, so imagining it for the film was doubly thrilling for me. With a novel premise, the storey does an outstanding job of integrating mystery, murder, and fate. Every character in the series holds down the fort in their own unique way, adding to the series’ raw eclectic flavour. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever worked on. It’s been an incredible adventure, and I hope The Great Indian Murder receives a lot of love and admiration from the public.”

The Great Indian Murder Cast

Richa Chadda and Pratik Gandhi play the key parts in the film, which features a superb star cast.

After his excellent performance and acting talents in Hansal Mehta’s financial thriller Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, Pratik Gandhi became an overnight star.

Richa Chadda played the female protagonist in Zee5’s Hindi spy thriller Lahore Confidential, which was a follow-up to the 2020 film London Confidential.

Along with the main characters, Ashutosh Rana, Sudha Bharadwaj, and Raghuvir Yadav will play significant parts in this web series.

Ajay Devgn and Priti Vinay Sinha produced the series under the umbrellas of Ajay Devgn Films and RLE Media.
