Users of modded Whatsapp apps may be in for a shock – WhatsApp is starting to ban users for using such programs like GBWhatsApp and YoWhatsApp. WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps that gets duplicated often. That’s no big surprise, as it includes a plethora of features. However, for some users, the features it has is just not enough.
This is why some users are downloading GBWhatsApp, OGWhatsApp and WhatsApp Plus – these apps offer features the original WhatsApp fails to provide. For example, the modded apps offer features such as customization and privacy.
The benefits of these modded apps are enjoyed by millions of people, but WhatsApp has decided that any user found to be using them will be banned. Reports have been circulating on Twitter that GBWhatsApp users are being banned temporarily from using WhatsApp itself.
WhatsApp Temporarily Bans Modded Versions
Why is WhatsApp temporarily banning them? It’s because they are in violation of the app’s terms of service. While some user were only banned for 60 minutes, other users saw a much longer ban – nine hours. And, a look at the app’s terms of service, it’s evident modded ones do violate them due to the features they provide.
WhatsApp has made no statements, which it’s not known if the practice of banning users who use the app’s modded version will continue. Millions of people use the modded apps, and are likely to find ways to avoid the bans and still use the featured modded WhatsApp apps afford to them.
