The ability to make voice calls on WhatsApp Web is just one of the many advantages people would want to have. Currently, WhatsApp Web users can only take voice or video calls through their mobile devices, but not on the computer.

Well, there are rumors that WhatsApp will be rolling out voice call support on the desktop version very soon. This would surely make users attend to voice calls straight from the Web client. One thing is for sure though is that WhatsApp is currently working on this feature for the desktop users.

In fact, a reliable report was released stating that the company will soon launch a Web client app for iPads, which has not been done yet. In a similar update, the Facebook-owned company would add voice calling feature to the iPad app. In other words, WhatsApp Web will also receive voice calling features because the iPad app would work with the WhatsApp Web service.

A recent version of WhatsApp Web has been released, which is the upgrade to the 0.2.8000. The new version 0.2.8299 has brought a new login page and it also comes with a number of bug fixes.
