It was recently announced on the MIUI forum that the Chinese smartphone that was launched this year in October, will be updated with the latest Android Oreo. It was released only the 6BG of RAM with a powerful Snapdragon 835 processor in India at Rs 35,999. The device is available for Flipkart, Mi online and offline channels. It features a 6.44-inch FHD display and as OS is previously had an Android 7.1 Nougat.

Limited Beta users

Since is going to be a closed beta program, only some users will get the chance to install it. Its beta nature allows users to detect any bugs or errors until the Android is coming out to be a stable version of OS. The user can register in the beta program until 24th of December because three days later Xiaomi will select only the qualified users to have the latest update.

Mi A1 The First to Get an Android Oreo

Xiami assured users that Android One Mi A1 will also receive the Android Oreo and can be the first one that will get Android Oreo. This one is 1104MB in size and the fingerprint followed the update quickly. The Android 8 will help Xiamo to get reed of some issues before the OS is finally established. The Mi A1 features a 5.5-inch Full-HD display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass screen.

Oreo focuses on speed and efficiency and for all the phones that use the OS the boot speed will be increased by twice.

The new Oreo features new notification settings, freshly emoji characters, doze mode, and Project Treble allowing faster and timely software updates. Besides the Mi A1, Xiami will also provide Android for Mi Mix, Mi Mix 2, Mi 6 and Mi Note 3.
