The South Korean company has been investing a lot of resources to ensure users’ experience improves. To enjoy the full desktop experience has made users acquire expensive first party dock so as to be able to use the DeX feature.
Samsung DeX was used together with hardware such as HP Elitebook X3 LapDock. The forth beta update to Samsung Experience 9.0 disables third party docks with Samsung DeX. This means that users who try to connect their phone to docks cannot enjoy the full Samsung DeX UI mode.

Other companies are also catching up with Samsung. Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones have the “Easy Protection” feature, powered by Phoenix OS.
The good thing about Easy Protection is that it does not require a dock to be used.
