GTA fans have been spending the last couple of years asking Rockstar Games for a new game. It has been four years since the release of GTA V and rumor has it that a new game is in the making.
Theories and speculations so far
Many fans have been investigating and posting their theories in the online environment. One of them is that the game will be released next year. This has been the conclusion of some fans who noticed that Rockstar published a new game of the GTA franchise once every five years. GTA V was released in 2013, therefore next year GTA VI sill be released.
What about Red Dead Redemption 2?
Other fans believe that it is impossible for HTA VI to be released in the same year Rockstar releases Red Dead Redemption 2. Many agree that the video game company and published does not have enough manpower to develop a game as complex as GTA VI at the same times as releasing Red Dead Redemption 2.
2020 might be a better year
According to some speculations 2019-202 is a better time span for the release of the much awaited GTA VI. During this time the developer and publisher Rockstar Games will have all his man power working for the sixth game for the GTA franchise.
More details are unknown about the exact year of release. Regarding the game’s setting, plenty of fans suggest that there will be multiple locations, even outside of the US. Rockstar VP Dan Houser even believes that London is a potential city for the GTA VI set.
A female lead in GTA VI
Plenty of GTA fans believe that the next game will have a female lead due to last year’s demands for a female protagonist.
