GTA Online has been growing year by year, while GTA V has not received any single player DLC. Fans have been waiting for a long while and their bigger dream of GTAVI is also going down the drain. Those who love to play GTA have even started creating theories on SNS about what could have possibly happened to GTA V single player updates.

GTA fans need closure

GTA Online received a massive update with new heists: Doomsday Heist. The single-player DLC has not been released, but fans still believed it was a real possibility. That is because Rockstar released in the past supporting games post launch: such as Ballad of Gay Tony for GTA IV and Undead Nightmare for Red Dead Redemption.

Rockstar has been teasing GTA fans

Back in 2014, Rockstar started to tease fans with an exciting Story Mode DLC. After relasing such a bomb, the company’s messages got more and more confusing. In 2015, Strauss Zelnik, CEO of Take Two Interactive declared that there is no DLC planned. To make matters worse, voice actor Shawn Fonteno, representing Franklin, teased about working on GTA V DLC with Rockstar.

What could have happened?

Here we are over three years later and fans are wondering what could have gone wrong and when will the single player DLC be published, if ever. Some GTA V fans dug into the game’s code and one of them, Tez Funz, found in 2015 a data miner with a new unannounced GTA V content.

Apparently, the new code found by Funz involved new missions, a new casino heist, jetpacks and “Clifford”. However, this year it became rather clear that the data mine found by Funz was about Doomsday Heist, a multiplayer segment and not a single player DLC.
