Asus Zenfone 3, 3 Deluxe and the Zenpad Gets New OS Updates

Asus has been working on their Zenfones and their software. They’re also releasing some goodies for the Zenpad too. And if you though that the update comes with the Android Oreo update, you couldn’t be more wrong. It seems that Asus focused on security patches and some updates to stabilize the OS on their older ZenFone 3 series: the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe and their Zenpad.

ZeFone 3 & ZenFone 3 Deluxe OS Update

At the moment, the ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) will get a new firmware build – 14.2020.1711.81 that comes with some enhancements for stability and performance. Users will see that the Camera app is improved. There are some other bug fixes that come with the update. So far, this device has received two updates in the same month.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) receives the latest security patch and some apps that were previously missing (for example, the phone book). The version of the newest update for this device is 25.40.219.38.

Zenpad OS Update

The Zenpad (Z301MFL) also receives some bug fixes and a better stability with the latest update. The build number for this update is 14.0410.1711.51 and it comes with improved Wi-Fi calling, GPS and Gallery. The tablet also got the latest security patch.

To update your device, there are a few things you must take into consideration: have at least 60% battery to be able to fully install the update. Use Wi-Fi to download the file and before installing any OS update, create a back-up of all your important data.
