WhatsApp is a chat application that connects millions of users. The app allows you to send text messages, pictures, videos, documents, links, and locations, and it is one of the most complex chat apps thanks to the fact that it receives constant updates that are meant to refine it.
Nowadays, it is almost necessary to have it installed on your phone, but what happens when you are not able to do that? Nokia users that owned X, X+, XL or X2 phones, had to find various ways to install WhatsApp. Luckily for you, that is no longer the case. If you are using one of these phones, you should be able to get WhatsApp normally.
Users that own devices from the Nokia X Series will be glad to hear that WhatsApp officially supports their phones. If cannot find WhatsApp in the Nokia Store, don’t worry, no one does yet. However, this does not mean that you cannot install WhatsApp.
How to install WhatsApp on Nokia X, X+, X2 and XL
After the 2014 update, it is possible to get WhatsApp on Nokia X devices, and you will be able to chat normally, just like you would with any other normal phone.
- In order to get WhatsApp you will need enable Unknown Sources. To do that, go to settings> security.
- Get the latest WhatsApp version for your phone. You should be able to find the apk online with no problems. Wait until the file is downloaded.
- After the download process is complete, look for the WhatsApp.apk file. After you find it tap on it and installation should begin.
After WhatsApp is installed, simply open it and you should be able to use it normally. Verify your account and start chatting with all your friends and loved ones.
