Stardust is a tool used to Power Up your Pokémon. To obtain stardust, the player must catch or hatch Pokémon. Each Pokémon will have a summary in which the player can see how much Candy and Stardust is necessary for that particular one to Power Up. Most trainers pay more attention to the Candy feature, leaving Stardust behind.

How to get Stardust

For those interested in getting Stardust, there are some easier and more enjoyable ways.

A good tip is to get out and catch as many Pokémon as possible. It is important to catch many Pokémon starting the 2nd of February. For first evolution chain Pokémon, the trainer will receive 100 Stardust and 3 Candy, for second evolution chain the trainer will receive 300 Stardust and 5 Candy and for third they will receive 500 Stardust and 10 Candy.

Low level area around the city will get trainers common Pokémon. It is also good to know how to drop lures and incense so as to catch more Pokémon. Each trainer will receive 100 Stardust per Pokémon and it has been proven possible to catch common Pokémon at a rate of one per minute.

Hatch Pokémon Eggs

Hatching Pokémon eggs will also get trainers more Stardust. It depends on the type of egg hatched, but it is important to remember that 10km EGGS reward the most, with a total of around 2,000 Stardust when they hatch. Therefore, egg hatching will bring players a large amount of Stardust.

Feeding Pokémon will also get players small amounts of Stardust. Each Berry fed to a Pokémon will give 20 Stardust, plus a small amount of Gym Badge XP and Candy.

Bonus Feature

There is also a new bonus feature, Pokémon Go Daily Bonus, will give trainers 600 Stardust for the first Pokémon catch of the day.
