A new update from Apple’s iOS rolled out, reaching build number 11.1.2. It’s available to all iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch. Before getting it released Apple hasn’t launched the beta version of this update for the developers.

iPhone X Bug Fixes

As for the features, Apple hasn’t planned on adding major changes in this update. The iOS 11.2 is testing some features that will appear in later builds: support for Apple Pay Cash, SiriKit for HomePod and more. This is the sixth update to iOS 11 and it comes with some bug fixes and fixes other important issues, such as the ones that have been encountered on the iPhone X.

One of the issues with the iPhone X that has been fixes was referring to the screen touch problem: it became unresponsive to touch when the display encountered a rapid decrease of temperature.

The other issue fixed on iPhone X was the one which caused Live Photos and videos to be distorted.

Since last week, Apple has been aware of the temperature issue on the iPhone X smartphones. They announced that they will provide a fix for this problem with an ‘upcoming software update’.

How to OTA Update your iOS

Other important issues that you might have encountered had been fixed last week in the iOS 11.1.1 update. Those issues were connected to an autocorrect bug that transformed the ‘i’ into an ‘A?’. The other problem was with ‘Hey Siri’ detection being sometimes inactive for some iOS devices.

If you’re wondering whether your iOS is up to date, you can check it by going to ‘Settings’ -> ‘General’ -> ‘Software Update’. Afterward it will guide you through on-screen instructions, if you don’t have the latest update. Use Wi-Fi connection for an OTA update.

Remember to backup all your important data before updating the OS and have at least 50% battery – or connect the device to a power source.
