Google works hard to deliver quality products, and the only way it can do that is through constant improvement. This is the reason why many of its apps are updated very often. Right now it appears that Google Play Store is the latest one to receive an update.

Android fans are probably already accustomed to the fact that Play Store is updated almost every two weeks, so this comes as no surprise. Let’s see what are the latest additions.

Google Play Store Version 8.4.40

Version 8.4.40 has been recently released by Google and right now it can be found on 3rd party sources. This means that you will be able to get the APK for the latest update. You should be able to find it easily online.

If you dislike and you want to get your updates from “official” sources, then you should know that not all devices have received the update yet, so if your phone didn’t get it, you might have to wait a little bit more for it. It will probably take a few weeks until everyone will get the update on their Android devices.

However, if you are one of the users for which the update already rolled out then you should be able to update from Play Store. You should receive a notification if the update is available and it should start downloading automatically in the background.

A new notification centre should be available in Play Store, but we must warn you that it might not be stable enough since they are still working on it. Therefore, do not be worried if there are certain issues or bugs since they will probably be fixed by upcoming updates. This version also comes with some minor improvements that are mainly related to stability.
