The younger brother and the father of the Manchester terror attack suspect Salman Abedi were arrested in Tripoli, Libya. The total number of people detained in suspicion with links to the assault is seven one of them is a woman.
22-year-old Salman Abedi blew himself during Ariana Grande’s concert at Manchester Arena on Monday and the blast killed 22 and injured 120. The youngest victim is Saffie-Rose Roussos, only 8 years old.
The younger brother of the terrorist, Hashim Abedi, 18 years old, was detained by anti-terrorist forces in Tripoli late on Tuesday night and confessed that he knew “all the details” about the attack. He also said that he and his brother were part of the Islamic state. The Special Deterrent Force issued a statement on Facebook, which contained the information that:
“The brother was aware of all the details of the terrorist attack.”
The father of the suicide bomber, 51-year-old Ramadan Abedi, was also arrested on Wednesday but he is not charged and was only detained for questioning.
The older brother, Ismail Abedi, 23, was also detained by the British authorities as part of the concert attack probe.
