Russia’s Investigative Committee confirmed that yesterday the security agents have arrested three people who are linked to the suicide bomber Akbarzhon Dzhalilov who blew himself up in St. Petersburg metro earlier this week. The attack took the life of 13 other citizens, including a famous doll maker and a wrestling coach and injured more than 50.

The three suspects are residents of Central Asia like the bomber. In the apartment where they were detained was found a self-made explosive device, which was deactivated by experts. It is reported that the device contained the same elements as the bomb detonated in the metro a few days earlier.

The remains of Akbarzhon Dzhalilov were identified by his parents on Wednesday and a DNA test also confirmed his identity.

So far no organization has claimed responsibility of the attack.
