Speaking to the media, Commandant FC Liaquat Ali said the terrorists attacked early in the morning. “Within no time the Army and Frontier Corp arrived to help. Everyone is united in this war and helping each other out.”

Liaquat Ali added that with this attack terrorists were aiming to demoralise security forces but with recent attacks being foiled, the morale is high.

Last month a suicide bombing at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine in Sehwan killed over 70 people and wounded scores of others. Following the attack, Pakistan had raised the issue of Afghan-based groups involved in terrorist activities in the country. The Pakistan Army had handed over a list of wanted 76 TTP and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA) terror suspects living in hideouts along the Pakistan-Afghan border to Kabul.
