Four members of Jandullah terrorist group were arrested during a special operation carried out by National Directorate Security (NDS) personnel in northern Takhar province.

In a statement released by NDS issued that the terrorist fighters were detained, while they wanted to plant two road side mines in limits of Dasht Qala district of Takhar province. The special operation was launched in Dasht-e-Qala district of the province while the insurgents were busy planting roadside mines, according to the statement. The arrested Jandullah terrorist group members named are Anayatullah, Faizullah, Mohammad Akbar and Abdul Hadi, the statement added.

The suspected in their primary investigation confessed that they were involved in organizing terrorist and destructive activities such as mines planting, explosions and assassination of tribal elders since a year in various parts of the province.One of the insurgents named Abdul Hadi was busy placing the IEDs, and had been responsible for blasts and terror attacks.

Meanwhile, two IED, 3 kg explosive materials, three RPG7 rocket shells, 13 magnetic mines, three remotes control and some other light weapons have been discovered and seized during the operation by NDS personnel from a terrorists hideout, the statement concluded.
