14-year old female terrorist shot as she attempted to stab Israelis near town of Alfei Menashe.
A stabbing attack was thwarted Wednesday morning near the town of Alfei Menashe in western Samaria.A female terrorist carrying a knife attacked Israelis at the Eliyahu checkpoint near Alfei Menashe, but was shot and neutralized. There were no injuries in the attack.
The wounded terrorist is reportedly in critical condition.Initial reports indicate the terrorist is a 14-year old girl who arrived at the Eliyahu checkpoint by foot, carrying a concealed knife. When she arrived at the checkpoint, security guards ordered her to halt, but the terrorist charged the guards, who fired warning shots in the air and demanded she stop immediately.As the attacker approached them and began to draw the knife, the guards shot her in the legs, neutralizing her.
The incident is the latest in a string of stabbing attacks across the country.On Sunday, an Arab terrorist infiltrated the town of Efrat, south of Jerusalem, and stabbed an army reservist.A day later, a Jerusalem Arab stabbed two Israeli police officers near Herod’s Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. Two more attacks on Monday were foiled in the Hevron area, with a third attempt made on Tuesday.
