Security measures loosened at the airport in Amsterdam

Dutch authorities announced that they are lowering security measures at the airport Schiphol in Amsterdam after investigating the threat, cited by AP.

National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security said in a statement that some additional measures that included military police checking cars at the airport will be canceled on Thursday evening.

The press service noted that the investigation has led to the conclusion that some additional measures introduced about three weeks ago are no longer needed.

The measure was taken amid the busy flow of the national airport because of summer holidays.

From March 2013 in the Netherlands has been imposed a second level of threat from the 5-point scale.
